Day 13 Incredible India!!

It was time to leave Leh today. I checked out at 0900 hours and made my way to Mulbeck on a ‘Scorpio’ (a vehicle model). En route to Mulbeck, I passsed by Alchi again and to Lamayuru
passing by long and winding roads to Mulbeck.
Our driver is Brother ‘Hulk’. It was a long drive to Mulbeck. I reached the place at 1500 hours. Cha had made arrangement for us to stay here for 600 Rps for a night. Somehow, the lady in charged quoted us 1000 Rps. That was an obvious ripoff. I pretended to bargain to 800 Rps .Moreover, our driver added that we have to leave this place at 0400 hours the next day. He also commented that he had to sleep in the vehicle if we decided to stay here. Sigh!!
Upon closer look, without an attached bathroom as promised, the place beingso cold and nothing to do here, we decided to leave the campsite (India Solitaire Campsite).
She got so upset and demanded we compensate her for the food she prepared.What?!! San and Stan argued that there was never a confirmation for our stay. She threatened to break the vehicle if we didn’t compensate her. But who cares right? This is not our vehicle. ..hahahaha
She was so furious and there was a heated exchange of words with Stan. “ Don’t threaten us!! We are leaving and we re not paying!! We made a gamble to drive off from the place, and fortunately nothing happended. Phew!!
We finally drove off to Kargil upon advise from our driver that this is a better option for us. She cursed at us saying that we will never get any better accommodation than hers in Kargil. Yea Yea, go ahead stupid lady, we are done with your campsite, ripoff!!! So please avoid this campste if you intend to visit Mulbeck.
Kargil, here we come!!
I was dumbstruck when I reached Kargil. The lighting, the place. I am in awe!! It has an identity of its own. I feel sad that I couldn’t document the moment I reached Kargil as it was almost sundown as the streets were too narrow for the vehicle to stop. Mark my words,Kargil is the best place for street shooting if anyone wants to know. There is not any a single tourist in sight. A streetshooters heaven I would say.
I checked in into Caravan Safari Guest House, and yes, these 3 seats will be waiting for us tonight, hehe
I break my fast and went to the mosque after with Bro Hulk for prayers. He was kind enough to ask the owner to prepare supper for me but I politely declined since I am not so hungry. I had a little snacks outside the balcony with Stan and San. The cakes they bought were delicious. I turned in at 2100 hours.
